Clutch Upgrade? SPEC 2+ or 3+
Hello, need to get a new clutch asap, my clutch is slipping, wondering if I should go with a SPEC Stage 2+ / Factory Flywheel or a SPEC Stage 3+ Factory Flywheel with the mods I have.
If someone could please explain the difference between a Stage 2+ vs 3+? and if I would be okay using a Factory Flywheel or should I upgrade to an Alum Flywheel? Website I'm ordering the clutch from: http://www.extremeturbosystems.com/S...utch-Kits.html My mods: Cobb V3 AccessPORT BMS Stage 2 JB4 (G5 ISO) (Map 7) (E50) Fuel It! Stage 2 Low Pressure Fuel Pump Injen Cold Air Intake Evolution Racewerkz Charge Pipe VRSF Lower Charge Pipe Upgrade VRSF 7” Front Mount Intercooler VRSF Catless Downpipes Soon to come: Pure Stage 2 Turbo Pure High Flow Inlet Pipe Pure Diverter Upgrade |

3+ its only a bit more expensive and holds alot more. Driveability is about the same or so I have read. I DD my 3+ and it's fine.

The Spec lineup is under-rated. So 545 torque for the 2+ is conservative from them. If you plan on making over 600 TQ then 3+ would be the answer. Also I wouldn't get the clutch from there, they don't even offer it with the Steel flywheel which is the one you want to have less flywheel rattle. The aluminum flywheel rattles like crazy and the factory flywheel can't handle the power. Looks like ETS needs to update their site to cater to this platforms needs. |

Vishnu was one of the first to put the 2+ on their single turbo without a hitch. Put on 45K miles and dozens and dozens of launches at the track with slicks. I'd always push for the 2+ unless you want to make gobs of torque down low, like over 600. |

Idk how much I would tune for but I would try to max the turbo out, looks like I'm gonna go with the Stage 3+, Hows the feel of this clutch? I daily drive my car that's why I'm asking, is it soft like OEM just grabs harder? thanks
