Take a look here http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106924
Or do a local search for DMS, E-Maps + "re-map" + " REMAP" Lots of good discussion. YOU WILL DEFINITELY FEEL A GOOD DIFFERENCE ! Helps with economy too, once you get out of the habit of trying to floor it EVERYWHERE ! Welcome by the way if no-ones said hello yet  |

Awesome mate, bet your well excited. Welcome to E90post.
Remember to get up some pics as soon as you take delivery/collection. Try E-maps i think they may offer a map for a 320d!! I think many mapped 320d are making 210bhp+ Carlos

399bhp out of a 335i!!! That's cool man! How much did it cost you?

More to come yet - should hit 450 before the next meet (we have an annoying M3 that needs to be put in his place ) then looking for 500 by the end of the year. Should be achievable |

We knew around 400 was possible as the yanks have put up dyno results around that figure, but the question is how will you turn 400 into 500??? Larger turbo's, exhaust??? You 'll probably need to spend a serious amount of dosh to get there

Are the turbo's on the 335i the same size or is there a small and large one? If so just put a huge one on there!!!!
And ref the remap on the new 320D, they havent cracked the ECU yet. There is a thread running on here by GiZZie, about how impressed he was with the spider tuning box - Not the most ideal solution, but at the moment no other choice

no it runs two identical Mitsubishi D04-9G's They are probably maxed out at the current PSI - maybe good for another 1psi.
Most power comes from freeing up the intake past 350whp - I'm at 340 now hence the brick wall we hit at Dyno day. SJ |

the tuner crew on the 350z forum... That car is not tuner friendly unless you do some serious work to it.

The reason that a re-map for the 177bhp E92 320d does not seem to be practical at the moment is that BMW have scrapped the Bosch ECU and are fitting an un-branded ECU without the connector and is also supposed to be encrypted so the tuning boys can't wave their magic wand because no one knows the code or where to connect to.
A tuning box will still work and won't be as good as a good re-map. It is suspected that BMW have made it nigh impossible to re-map the ecu so that they can, in the fullness of time, sell their own performance enhancement - at a huge price of course. It is also suspected that they are going to do the same for the larger diesel engines in the very near future. |
