Does anyone know what module the 4 pin connector terminates at? Can't seem to find on a diagram anywhere where it actually goes... E.g. to the back of the CIC, maybe somewhere else, etc.

I've got CIC, Nav, etc. iDrive controller stopped working, and a replacement didn't do the trick either. I've got 12v and ground at the connector, which tells me there's an issue with upstream KCAN transciever. Just trying to figure out what module it is.

One pin goes to the connector on back of JBE I think. I think it's something like x11003 (or splices into a suitable power wire) for power. The rest go to the big connector on the back of the CIC or CCC or whatever...

Any idea where those terminate? Specifically the CAN high/low. Seems like maybe the JBE. Really seems like it's the CAN_Low that's messed up.

In any case, I would think I could tap the iDrive controller into the CAN bus anywhere, right? e.g. find another CAN twisted pair and use posi-taps (vampire taps).

just find a twisted pair it really doesnt matter, behind the radio or at the hvac you can find them. orange green together.

So you are saying that the CAN twisted pair terminates at the JBBE, but interfaces from there to the CCC/MASK? Or, somewhere the power & CAN split off and the CAN pair goes right to the back of the CCC/MASK?

its all the same shit throughout the car, as long as you hit the orange green twisted pair
