Hoersepower and torque Question
After reviewing the different "off-road tunes" available for the 335d I have chosen to go with the BPC stage 1 for now which should be 300whp and 470lbft at the wheels, which is basically the same thing as the 2016 Alpina D3.
My future goal for the car is 500whp and 700lbft. I know the DCT transmission will hold the power based on tuned M3/4's currently. Are our transmissions capable of holding this type of power? Here is what I think I will need to change to achieve my goals: HPFP injectors hybrid turbos Intercooler 4" full exhaust Transmission and torque converter upgrade I look forward to your thoughts |

BPC stage 1 isnt an "off-road tune". It keeps all of the stock emissions equipment in place. That is, the EGR, DPF, and SCR. If you have plans to go that big, why not just jump straight to a stage 2+(deletes EGR, DPF, and SCR), and throw on a better exhaust while you're at it? There is no way you are going to get to those numbers on the stock emissions setup anyways.

Torqu3...I appreciate everything you have said and I agree with you. The reason I didn't make the jump is that I would like to bundle that step all in one. The existing hybrid turbos I have seen do not have the airflow for what I would like to achieve.
Secondly, the stage 2.5 tune is only 50whp and roughly 100lbft at the wheels more than stage 1 and I would be spending money I don't need to currently as my car runs flawlessly. |

Hold off for a bit, there are a few guys running hybrids now and with refined tuning, I don't see 500/700 @ the tire being impossible. That said, if you're wanting big power, I highly recommend a fully modified hybrid, meaning hot and cold modification to the LP turbo. Best of luck. |

We do not have DCT transmissions like the M3/M4's. We have a conventional 6 speed auto made by ZF. 6 gears, lock up torque converter in every gear.
