Considering the horsepower reading went from 313 to 343 (not caught on the video) between the 2 runs, I lend it to operator inexperience with diesels. My car runs great and is very consistent (butt dyno) on the road. This was at a dyno day and it took him a long time to get my car ready for the runs. After the 2nd run, he pulled it off the dyno and went to the next car. I am in the process of getting a refund for my experience because he does not have the right setup to effectively run it again.

BPC's tune I have put down 359/559 (not 396) on BPC's dyno. My 2nd run put down 343 with no torque reading but you could extrapolate the results. We're only 16 horsepower different there but I would like to have some more dyno runs to validate.

Stock ratings are 265/425 at the crank. Torque is a function of horsepower so the 343 hp run I had should have yielded over 500 ft-lb at the wheels had the crankcase pickup not lost connection with the mark.

My car feels like a monster with the exhaust and tune vs stock. I picked up more than 9 ft-lbs with this setup.
Shoot. I totally forgot BMW measures their numbers at the crank. The drivetrain loss would account for why your numbers seemed so off to me. Thanks for the reply. And thanks for clearing up the smoke issue. I got a little scared since you've gone down the route I will be going down hopefully soon. I really wouldn't want my car to smoke THAT much. Very excited to be not poor so I can get the work done.

Replace the O-rings on all the boost connections and install the forge red hose.

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you have part numbers for the o-rings?

They were lazy. It was a dyno day and they were 20 minutes behind when I showed up at 11am. The challenges with my runs put them even further behind.

I ended up getting my dyno fees refunded yesterday because the operator does not currently have the capability to reliably perform runs on a diesel.

It was my first experience dyno-ing my car and it was not a good one. But the operator did the right thing and refunded me my money.
