Smile Photos from Brooklands Meet (More Pics Added)

Met up with the guys from Evotechnik today for a meet at Mercedes-Benz World in Surrey. If only all meets could be 15 mins down the road!!

Most of us have BM's so not overly interested in Merc's apart from Peppernick who recently replaced his stolen 335d with a CLK. However, there were some awesome Merc's there, AMG's and the gorgeous McLaren SLR. Even the car park is worth a visit as there was a Porsche meet and a Ferrari meet and a lonesome Lamborghini.

MB World is next door to Brooklands Motor Museum where we got permission to take some pics on the old banked race track.

Enjoy!!

MB World, like Disneyworld but with cars...

Peppernick's new motor

My new motor

Typical scene at my Tesco's

Pretty cool inside

Lots of MB history

Mixed with modern technology

View of the test track and skid pan open to the public

Modern beasts

Few more classics

Then on to Brooklands where we gathered on the 30ft banked race track

Peppernick's CLK

I think Nick collapsed

Believe me it was steep!

My baby

Which one is faster?

Overall, a superb day and a fantastic turnout!!

Wink

Very nice shots, Paul, and the 'twin' is looking beautiful.

Looks like you had great weather.

All the best.

Yes but at walking pace! The track is breaking up, full of cracks and pot holes. The two Porsche's at the foot of the bank didn't join the line up because they were too low to get up the bank without scraping their front spoilers... The bank was so steep you had to be careful even on foot

Private appointment only to take pics on the banked track. Its £8 entrance fee on the gate, but they gave us a group discount of £7 each. Worth every penny and we didn't even step inside the museum!

What a great day out.Looks like you all had a lot of fun there, its so close to my work and i keep meaning to go down there. We have a corporate deal with Mercedes so i can go have a real fun day out.I been in most of the modern monsters they make, even driven them too.

I love the banked circuit shots, great weather for it too, especially right now seeing as its nasty and the outlooks bleak to say the least next few days.

Summertime fun i think,is called for .......

We could do a mega shot line upon line..

Some fantastic pictures.

So do Merc not make good cars anymore? I'd better cancel the order then!
