MONACO BLUE--->SATIN WHITE PEARL My first vinyl wrap job, before and after pictures.

So this all started when I wrapped my roof with some cheap carbon fiber wrap from eBay and had a horrible experience. I've been messing around with anything with a motor since I was very young and I've worked on a variety of different cars and diy jobs. The cheaper vinyl I had was one of the hardest/frustrating diy I had ever done and at the end of it all, it came out to a not so satisfactory result. DO NOT BUY CHEAP, CHINA MADE, THICK/HEAVY LAMINATED VINYL, ESPECIALLY IF THIS WILL BE YOUR FIRST GO AT VINYL WRAPPING.

As I continued to research I forgot me that buying the quality stuff does matter, a lot... So I bought some Avery Dennison satin black for the roof and the diy jobs end result was above and beyond my standards and was a pleasure to do. This taking me 45 min to do versus the 3 hours trying to work with the crummy stuff was a night a day difference.

So easy that I said, "you know what, I've always wanted my car to be white, so I'm going to take a go at it." My roommates and other car buddies though I was a little crazy taking this on and driving around my car (daily driver) half Monaco blue and half satin pearl white for about a week and a half.

The end result was way better than I ever expected and yeah sure I need to redo a few sections (front and rear bumpers mainly) but who cares. It removable and unlike paint you can rip off the not so satisfactory attemp and try again. Patience and hours of tedious work is deff involved, but I'm happy with it and happy I took it on myself bc I saved myself a few thousand and I have a line of friends and diff car acquaintances wanting me to do some vinyl projects for them.

If anyone is a first timer I feel free to pm me and I can let you know what I ran into. I'm not a professional by any means and this was my first "big" vinyl wrap job and all in all I love it and get people commenting on the color everywhere. Telling them "yeah it's vinyl"... Vinyl? "Yeah vinyl wrap, like a big sticker." IS PRICELESS! Lmao. The older car enthusiast that comment on it always give me a very weird/you ate paint chips as a kid look when I say the big sticker line.

Here's some before and after pictures, sorry no pics of the time in between but on the first half a Saturday and

Sunday I did
HOOD, FENDERS, DRIVER DOOR

Wednesday 4pm-10pm
PASSENGER DOOR/ 2 BACK DOORS, REMOVED TRUNK FINISHED INSIDE.

Friday 2-6pm
FRONT BUMPER

Saturday 2-6pm
REAR BUMPER

Sunday
QUARTER PANELS AND OTHER SMALL PIECES.

TOTAL COST: $549.99 5 ft x 55 ft from metrorestyling.com

Enjoy!

The color is the coolest when it's in the sun or at night in a well lit parking lot.

Just great, I absolutely love the hood stripes lined up with the grill stripes, just amazing.

One thing, my car is Monacau blue too and I really like it, as in, best colour ever for me. But I can see why you like the white, it's great.

Hey about the gold squares, are those simply square cutouts applied on top of the white vinyl?

Looks great! I love that you broke down the days and times for us. So is this your daily driver as I feel like I can't wrap my car because I'm not gonna drive around with it only partly done.

Yes, it is my daily driver and I felt the same way about driving around a car half white and half blue. In the end it is all worth it tho! Lol. PS love your YouTube diy videos!!!!!

Thanks man! I always wanted white, Monaco blue is deff a nice color and I would get comments on it all the time, just wanted to try something new and when I'm done with it, rip it off back to Monaco. Also I had a flag decal on the car before the entire vinyl job. I liked how it looked after I put the white vinyl over it but decided it might look cool to put the mirror gold vinyl on top of it, but as of now I actually took it off so it's just all white.

Yeah the Avery is much thinner and has a lot less laminate than other wraps. And yeah, m3 rep front bumper with a custom made lip from my old lci bumper carbon splitters.

Yes they are, I had them originally on my factory LCI bumper and no one wanted them so I hacked them up and took a flimsy eBay front lip, cut the middle out and just used the 2 ends of it on either side. I've since taken it off if you want it.
