Oil on Injector

Replaced bank 1 injectors with index 12. Car has been running great with no misfires but since I was on index 5 I decided it was time to swap.

Cylinder 1 looked fine but when I removed cylinder 2 injector it was filled with oil. I didn't remove the plug to see if there was oil there but is this a sign of the vcg or something more serious? The oil wasn't really on the tip of the injector, so I'm guessing the seal did it's job from not letting pressure out of the combustion chamber or letting the oil seep in.

I replaced the vcg about 2 years ago and don't see oil in the same areas I did last time.(Collecting around the metal shroud where the boost solenoids are.)

Any input is appreciated.

Oil is also coming through your intake & PCV valve dumps vapors back in as well ... I let the DVs exhale to atmosphere and blocked the intake port with rubber chair pegs from home depot seems to hold fine wiht o ring..

Check your oil cap. I had to change mine out to the "new" style. The original leaked a puddle of oil into the foam of the engine cover and on top of the first couple injectors, etc.

Most likely a leaking oil cap, valve cover gasket, or even a cracked valve cover. This is a very common problem.
