For owners of pre-2009 E6x and E9x models, we have developed VividScreen, a complete upgrade for the CCC iDrive system that integrates seamlessly with your vehicle's stock interior, whether your car came with a smaller 6” or larger 8.8” display.

The VividScreen kit comprises two main components. The first is an enhanced dashboard screen that not only boasts twice the screen resolution of the factory display, but also has excellent contrast and brighter colours. The second component is our special multimedia interface. This adds compatibility with our range of retrofits, including backup cameras with dynamic park assist, in-car Apple TV and wireless smartphone mirroring, so you can take advantage of the latest innovations in iDrive technology.

Oh, and you know that plastic thing in front of your screen? The one that makes it basically impossible to see anything half the time? VividScreen doesn't have that.
