Black Vinyl Trim installed
Just wanted to show off a bit since my car was just waxed, plus I wanted to show how nice the Black Vinyl came out over the chrome trim...

Yea I did it myself. Parts of the install were a pain like the back curved portion and under the side view mirrors. Other than that pretty straight forward... best CC to use was my costco card. Solid yet flexible...

+1 so cal weather sucks right now.
anyone know if there is a kit available for the e90? how did you go about covering the trim on the bottom of the door and not cutting into your paint/seals? i know it gets tricky down there..

Took me about 2 hours.... most of it was pretty simple. the hardest part was relieving the pressure around the back windows. If you do it yourself, just take your time. I found that my best tool for this job was my thumb nail... Let your nail grow a little longer than normal. I shit you not, the vinyl is pulled so tightly that once you apply some pressure with your nail between the excess vinyl and the trim piece, it cuts and tucks perfectly...Also, the card of choice is a costco or (plastic health insurance type) firm yet flexible...

You know what bro, tomorrow while my Mother in law is over, I should have plenty of garage time. I'll re-inact my install, and post up some of the key spots, ie: rear window trim, under side view mirror's etc...
