New headlight replacement question

Hi
I have a 2008 BMW 328 xi.
I noticed that my passenger headlight is not as bright as the drivers side.
I am guessing that the bulb is about to go. All bulbs are original from factory.
Question i have is should I replace both sides at once even though the drivers is fine or just the one fading?
Also should I stick with a stock bulb or upgrade to maybe a led or brighter bulb.
I was told that LED's are not a good idea because the vehicles computer will give you an error message saying your bulb is out because of the low power consumption.

Any help would be appreciated.

Currently it is what came with the car from factory original bulbs.

I have a 2006 325, with halogen lights, I replace my low beams with LEDs, I got them with decoders. They are bright, the only downside is that every time I start my car the lights flash on and off a few times. Remember that you get what you pay for, I pay almost $100.
