2-Step Relay Question

I ordered a JB4 with the 2step & nlts relay.

What is the BMS DATA cable required for?

Is the relay plug & play or is the data cable needed to hook up to laptop and make changes?

I mainly bought the relay for the NLTS feature I don't plan on launching my car.

Might try n54tech there's better jb4 support over there
