Headlight cracked
Hey guys I'm new to the forum. I'm not a BMW specialist or anything I barely know anything about my car 😂 I know BMW owners have a stigma attached of being a****. I'm just looking for a little help. I have a e92 LCI (coupe of course) my drivers headlight lens is cracked. Nope insurance isn't going to cover it nor am I under warranty. I know the headlights are between $500 - $1000. I found a replacement lens here:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/291798675992 But I'm not the one to try to bake the headlight and replace the lens. Maybe someone here can for hire. This would be my preferred route. I also know I could buy a used full housing but I don't know how to transfer the modules, ballast, and do the coding. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated thanks. |

I just bought an E92 and refinished the headlights with a 3M kit. If it didn't work out to my expectations I was going to spend the $150 and buy replacement lenses. Here is a link to the only ones that I could find.

Ya come in here, call us... yeah I'm over it.
On the mobile app, but where are you located? There are shops all over that do the rings, housing mods, etc that could easily take care of this. A few that come to mind are OnEighty, OSS, Autocouture, and many more that I'm forgetting. Not sure if there are any differences with separating E92 pre-LCI headlights to LCI, but they should detach/reattach fine. Also, check the regional forum that applies to your area if you go the headlight swap route and want to find a coder. But I would look into the coding subforum to see what needs to be coded/registered so you don't let someone connect to your car blindly. |
