Anybody run Blizzak WS80 on standard msport rims?

Hi Guys,

I still have a spare set of msport rims and with the Colorado weather I'm looking for a good snow tire. I really like what I read about the Blizzak WS80 but they don't have them in the sizes of the msport rims. The closest they have is:

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
235/40-18 3.7in 12.7in 25.4in 79.8in 794 0.0%
255/35-18 3.5in 12.5in 25.0in 78.6in 806 -1.5%

vs the regular:

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
225/40-18 3.5in 12.5in 25.1in 78.8in 804 0.0%
255/35-18 3.5in 12.5in 25.0in 78.6in 806 -0.2%

I'm pretty sure the 235 front fits as I've seen other people do it, my worry is that the circumference increases in the front but not the back. Does 1.3% difference upset the ABS/DTC? I know the most logical thing would be to put 265/35-18 in the rear, which would lower the difference to 0.6%. Problem is, they don't have those either.

These are the available sizes I can find for 18's on Tire Rack:

P215/55R18 95T
225/50R18 95T
225/55R18 98H
225/60R18 100H
235/40R18 95H
235/50R18 101H
245/40R18 97H
245/50R18 104H
255/35R18 90H

What do you guys think?

I would just go 225/40 or 235/40 square. Don't worry about the stagger. Narrower is better for snow anyways.

You can actually fit 245/40 on the stock front wheels FYI.

Will 225/40 fit on the bigger rear rims? I had no idea it could be that much smaller. Would you do 225/40 square over 235/40 square since it's better for the snow? Or 235/40 over 225/40 because I assume it has to stretch the tire less in the rear?

I have 225 on 9.5" wheels. 225 on 8.5" is easy.

Narrower is better for snow, but since they don't have 225 in the tires you want, 235 should be fine. Or you can go with a different tire.

Alright, I'll go with 235 square in that case! Thanks!
