Coding Used DSC Pump & ECU

Hi all, I had the dreaded ASB issue recently on my 2007 E90 330D, faults as follows:

5DF0 - 'DSC pump unit faulty'
5DF1 - 'DSC pump unit plug faulty'

I now have a known working replacement installed that has identical part numbers on both the pump & ECU but obviously the garage cannot code it in as the unit has the original vehicles VIN paired with it.

I am looking to get this vin matched to my vehicle & am unsure is I should give it a go myself or if there are suggestions on where /who to take it to.

Based in Berkshire UK.

Thanks.

What you need to do is to change the VIN number in DSC unit,
there are different ways to do it, dependint on what tools you have,

Probably easiest is to reflash it with WinKFP. then you will code it and it should work.

Sensible_ (http://www.e90post.com/forums/member.php?u=150117) might be close to you and definitely able to do it.
