opening E91 tailgate without button

hi,

anyone had to open the glass tailgate without a working button? ive got the interior plastics off, got to the side of the latch, found the hole where there is supposed to be a tab you can push to open the gate, but no juice.

can i do it through inpa?

I have just changed the switch on my tailgate glass, although my problem was that the glass was opening all the time, not stuck shut !

I would try disconnecting the switch wire if you can get at it with the glass closed and shorting across the terminals
