BBS CH-R 19" for the coming season - please help
Hey guys.
I have a question about a new set of wheels/tires i', looking to get for my 2010 E91 335xi. I really want to get a set of BBS CH-R's for my car, but i'm confused about the tire sizing. I've tried putting the tire sizes through different measuring wbesites and both combinations are within the 1% difference so it'll be alright, but here's my question. Even though 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 is a viable option with the rolling diameter of 1%, the official BBS site and another dealer both tell me that to run 8.5x19 / 10.5x19 i would need 225/35/19 fronts and 255/30/19 rears. Why is that so? I know that technically this option is closer to eachother in the rolling diameter % than the 235/265 option aforementioned, but wouldn't a 10.5x rear wheel stretch a 255 tire? and if so, wouldn't this "technically" change the rolling diameter of the 255 tire since it's being strechted wider than a 255 really is? Sorry i'f im not making sense, i hope some can follow me. I could always opt for the 9.5x19 rears, but i like the look of wide wheels. Thanks in advance and happy new years! |
