PA Soft/BMW Scanner tool: 1.4v versus 2.01v

I have a copy of PA Soft 1.4 that I've used on other cars I've owned (E38/E39/E53, etc) and it worked great any time I've needed to use it. Will that tool/plug-in work with the 2.01 software edition for the E90 assuming I have the 2.01 software? I'm just wondering if the same plastic plug-in is compatible.

Depends on year. If post 03/2007 you'll need the K+DCAN head for BMW Scanner.

It's a decent program, useful for a range of things.

That's some potentially good news-I'm looking at using this on my '06 E90. I can get the software just fine, I was just hoping to not have to spend money on a new interface.
