NJ Emissions Inspection
So I've been looking into high flow cats, like 200 cell counts, and I'm wondering how high flow cats work for inspection?
There's no smell so that's good, and there's a cat, so I'm assuming it passes visual? What happens next? Do they just plug in the OBD2? And it passes? I don't like the smell so I don't want to lose the cats altogether and it would make life easy if the high flows will pass. Also, does moving to high flows change the exhaust at all? I know catless does. Thanks!! edit: can anyone explain what the process is for putting in a catless dp as well? What is done to trick the sensors and pass emissions? Does the JB4 do it all? (assuming most people have this if they're going catless?) Essentially what I'm asking is hypothetically if I went catless what parts would I need/what work would I need done to pass emissions? Or does everyone just revert to stock before inspection? Last edited by Stars1315; 01-03-2017 at 08:07 PM.. |

inspection does not know how high flow of a cat you have, as long as your check engine light is off after a drive cycle and you have 1 cat per pipe, for example true dual exhaust requires 1 cat per side.....
