M57 Swirl Flap Blanks USA

Does anyone know where to get swirl flap blanks in the US? All I am finding are kits in the UK being drop shipped from China and are ridculously expensive. I need the blanks by this week when I pull my intake manifold to replace my injectors.

Without starting a new thread there were a few things I didn't see a clear answer on...

Anyone run the $20 kits on eBay?? I found some on Amazon I will probably get because I have a g.card..

Does the 2011 have the 33mm from what I understand it does.. And it also looks like if I disconnect the linkage from the actuator and leave that connected it will think its there since it really one monitors the actuator position?

I think I will be pulling the intake soonish to do a cleaning... I get a "thudding" at idle seems to be getting worse at times..

So I want to
Pull intake and clean (and heads)
Delete swirl flaps
Chance fuel filter

And go from there

Yes, 33 mm. Sometimes I see it called 32 mm but I believe it's the same either way. I measured mine when I got them and it was 32.x mm in diameter (not including o ring). The plugs have o ring and that is what actually seals against the bores in the manifold. The other choice in diameter is 23 mm which for European 4 cylinder. I have no idea what diameter an N47 4 cylinder would use.

I bought the kit with the intake gaskets as it was a much better deal than separately buying OEM ones even at Husker's discounted price.

Please consider helping our vendors that sell them rather than eBay.

I did exactly as you say. Removed the long rod connected to actuator and left actuator plugged into harness. Several have successfully unplugged actuator though. Ask your tuner. Mine said leave it plugged in.

I also searched the $20 kits on ebay with the gaskets. Waiting that long for a product drop shipped from China is not worth it to me.

I have a BPC tune on my car and my swirl flaps are coded to be permanently open. If you don't have them disabled you may have issues like a lack of power.

service blanked my swirl flaps without me specifically requesting it. and car doesn't feel the same. it's weaker in the whole range of revs, worse fuel consumption, now i want to put them back

The swirl flap blanks only work as intended with a tune. If you don't have them electronically disabled you will face efficiency issues.
