2008 E93 - Coding Out / Removing SOS Call Failure Error

Hey Guys,

After being recommended by ctuna to post in here, I have a strange issue where I can't seem to code out the SOS error from my car.

I have a 2008 E93 330D with CCC idrive.

I've tried to code out the following modules using these values:

KOMBI:

TCM_ALIVE_MONITOR -> nicht_activ
TCM_ID_MONITOR -> nicht_activ

TCUM:

E-CALL_HARDKEY_FITTED -> nicht_activ
NON-TELEMATIC_E-CALL -> nicht_activ
AIRBAG_TRIGGERED_E-CALL -> nicht_activ

However, the error still shows up on my idrive screen. I've double checked to ensure the values are being set to the car by reading the modules again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. To know how this error came about, please see this thread: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1340558

I believe you need to remove a option from the VO.
Then default code each module.

I would look in the Cappl or CIC after reading this.
There are so many more files associated with the idrive.
But if your most bus is not working you won't get the factory
bluetooth phone connection back. Is that working?

The bluetooth in my vehicle is working perfectly fine with my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.

I haven't really worked on changing values in the VO. I understand how to add the +TELD but what i don't understand is how to default the modules mentioned above? Could someone explain or point me in the right direction please?

Thanks,

Bash.

I would think you would want to take +TELD out because that
is the definition of BMW telemetrics .(I think)

What does your Vo say as far as installed modules?

Did you remove option 612 this is way complicated see link

aren't you ignoring the file for the (idrive cappl or cic,)idrive and fzd
I take it you got the sos error to disappear from the kombi instrument
cluster.

what would need to be changed for the CCC idrive and FZD?

The error did not disappear from the KOMBI instrument cluster.

I expect you will find some more lines relating
to the SOS and telemetrics that are enabled.
Since I don't have idrive this is a mystery to me
but I know I have such lines in my 2rad file.

The error not disappearing from the combi suggests
that the change did not stay written to the kombi.

You might want to get in touch with Sam because he does
this for a living.

Mate,

if you have COMBOX then set this:

COMBOX_ALIVE_MONITOR -> nicht_activ
COMBOX_ID_MONITOR -> nicht_activ

it will help.

The + sign just means that the option was added to the original VO. It so the next person that goes in knows it is not original and was added after the fact.

TELD means telecom delete. Disables BMW Assist, maintains Bluetooth function.

If you VO code +TELD like I said earlier, it will delete BMW Assist and keep Bluetooth active. To default modules, use Expert Profile and select the ECU that you want to default. Then run SG-Coderein, just like you would if you were coding. The difference is that manipulation is turned off in Expert profile (or at least it should be).

Sorry guys, been busy with work which is not related to beamers.
So just picking up on this today.

As Ctuna mentioned...
as per your first post, if you have altered those two lines then coding has not stuck to kombi module.

I think that you do not have coding profile set up properly. One coding profile is to revert the modules to their reset status as per VO of your car and if +TELD has worked, then you have that profile.

Second profile is FSW PSW MAN which is needed to stick those personalisation coding to the module.

Just for future ref.

Glad all is sorted.

I transferred my pfls to his profile. Much simpler set up & profiles are named accordingly.

1. Manipulation
2. Factory Coding
3. Car/Key Coding

Thanks mate.
Unfortunately, I had to stop bmw stuff as professional growth was getting compromised.
These days, working hard to enhance my career progression and recently been offered a job in Saudi.

I will be around to help if I can. But stopped working in beamers. My own NBT retrofit in my recent e90 is pending for past 3 months and probably will go against it as if I'll travel to middle east, then car will get sold.

Nice to see that you are still around buddy and going strong
