2007 328i auto price question-Chicago

Hi,

I am in the market for a 2007 328i auto, and I wanted your opinion on a price I should be amiming for on this car.

The local dealer has two 2007 328i's left.

1) Auto, Heated Front Seats, Premium package with 6000 miles on the odometer.

2) Auto, Cold Weather Package, Ipod Adapter, Premuim Package.

Thanks for the help.

Regards,

Dave

Hmm 6,000 miles....Thats close to 38 brand new..I would say if it's in great condition..hmm about 33,500 maybe 34,000 I'd start at 31,500 no more than 34...and see if it's got the extended warranty

Salesperson said they could not sell at the price we would buy the car at and said they cannot sell it for less than the advertised price of 4000 off MSRP, so that would be around 35,400 for a 2007 with 2000 miles on the odometer but never titled. We wrote back and said if that's the case we won't be shopping for a BMW at this time, and it would make no sense to trade in a loaded G for a 328 with less options. The salesperson said she'll talk to her manager, but we have not heard back from them. I doubt this dealer will budge though, since it's on the Northshore.

The selling price sounds fair for what they're offering, but it doesn't make sense to trade your G unless you hate it or are moving up to a 5 er....There's 3.9 financing on the '08 328 btw

Although 4k off list sounds decent on a BMW, two factors would blow the deal for me. USED car, don't care if it's never been titled, I go by the ODO, and 2k7. No thanks. I bet a 2k8 brand spanking new is pushing 3k+ (I only know what I've read on the forum, I haven't done the shopping as I'm not in the market).

There's a reason why they have two 2k7's. It's already 4th and long on those cars. It's no longer good enough for customers to be told it's German, therefore you'll pay a lot. New Benz SL's had 12k rebates from what an officemate told me. Americans just don't have the coyne to buy these cars, so the Germans must incent. The world is changing as our economy continues to slide.
