It probably doesn't have to me. Technology has evolved, more of this can probably be simulated on computers or in other ways that don't appear so hardcore.

True, but if given a choice, and "enthusiasts" saw both rigs, chances are they would say "Give me the car that was developed on the first rig."

Cool vid, thanks for sharing. The slalom part of vid is very similar to what it is like driving on our roads here in Toronto. Avoiding the massive car eating pot holes!
