Hey man, I found out from Antony that the proximity sensor module uses radio at the same frequency as Wifi and so knocks it out! Use a bluetooth adapter, and you'll be good. I tested it, definitely works, and then my wifi adapter still works in non-Vipered cars.

Yeah that sucks, luckily I had a spare Android phone in the house which I used with the Torque app. I also have iPhone as my main phone so can't use Carly on my own car at the moment and I'm not paying another £30+ for it on the Android phone lol. One way to get it to work is to unplug the proximity sensor module while you use the Wifi adapter, Antony said this himself.

yeah, it really sucks m8...Bluetooth is ok, wifi is not?! I think the makers of the alarm need to find a way around this.
I was hoping to learn something from the app, mainly about the dpf, when it happens, etc, but also look for hidden errors etc.. Secondly the investment was to also to use the dongle on my next car, 4 series Getting an android phone and use bluetooth connection is something I cant be bothered about : |
