Hello everyone I just recently sold my 2004 Subaru WRX and picked up a 2010 335d with 55k on the clock. I purchased it from a Ford dealer in St. Louis. The car had a check engine light when it arrived but they sent it over to a BMW dealership and they ended up replacing the DEF tank, 2 NOX sensors, catalytic converter, and updated the ECU. I purchased a warranty from the dealer covering 3yrs/36k miles I know these cars can be a little fussy. So far I have put about 1k miles on it and it runs great. I plan on doing an oil change and fuel filter change next weekend, looks like there's only about 3k miles left on the service clock. Next month I plan on doing a transmission filter change. I am not sure the extent of CBU, where is the best place to check to see if it needs to be done? Performance wise I have installed a JBD chip the rest is stock for now. Future plans are a turbo back exhaust and all the emissions deletes and possibly running meth to keep it clean and add some power. We do not have emissions testing in Columbia so I'm not concerned about that. Sorry about rambling but that's all I have for now. Look forward to joining the community.

Congrats on the new purchase! Looks like you picked up a nice lower mileage one, have you looked up the previous maintenance history on the car yet? I see that you said you purchased an extended warranty but I would check to make sure that doing the deletes won't void the warranty.
I too just purchased my 335D and I haven't been able to stop learning about the car and the different mods. I was lucky enough to ride in a fellow member's car that is deleted and tuned, it was a whole new monster compared to stock. It gave me a lot to look forward to that's for sure! ![]() Post up some more pictures of the car when you get a chance. Welcome to 335D ownership! |

Welcome aboard! The cars are great but as someone mentioned the challenge for you will be to decide when to throw overboard the car-killing emissions controls, starting with EGR, then SCR then DPF. You can probably install the AARodriguezcorp.com EGR block along with a tune from BPC or JR to suppress the inevitable CELs, and stay somewhat under the radar re your warranty. Removing the SCR system or DPF is going to stand out a little more.

Super Sam went for a spin in TorqueAddict's car and left behind some Hershey bars on his seats.
