I wrote to the https://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/email.cfm and told them about the fuel pumps and how BMW is not addressing the issue. Maybe if enough people respond we can get them to issue a recall. I encourage you to write a short letter to them.

BMW is addressing the problem. They are replacing all the ones with issues, nothing more. Its stupid for them to have a major recall on a $1400 part, so instead of doing that and wasting tons of $$, they're going case by case. Supposedly, there's nearly no wait time compared to earlier in the year when people were waiting weeks to months to get their pump. |
