Boots struts
Hello peeps, one of my boots struts is loose at the pivot point and the pair of them look rusty on the casing. It's an 07 e92 so 10 years old. My main question isn't that they need replacing but on pressing the boot pop button on the fob should the boot open fully because at the moment it barely opens at all? Cheers

No. All the key fob does is pop the lock open. The boot lid remains semi-closed and has to be lifted by hand. It's designed that way from the factory.

Yes I've seen plenty of mods done on e39s with the added springs, being new to e92 I just wasn't sure if it was standard to just pop it open a tad. I may look at getting springs when I fit new struts.
