Winter Tires/Rims Setup

I just purchased a 08' 335i coupe and was wondering what the gurus suggest for the snow.

I would like to just put snow tires on the stock sport rims and get rims for the summer season. Or get a complete winter package.

Any suggestions?

Whats your setup?

Thanks.

I purchased an '07 335i convertible in October - it came with 19" Style 230's, so I bought a set of sytle 159's (which are 17") with Bridgestone Blizzak RFT tires. The car handles well in the snow we've had so far this winter.

I bought the reco'd wheel/tire package from Tire Rack. Definitely had lots of use this year. Been great.

Depending on how much snow you get, these pwn snow. Plus, they're one of the few R rated true snow tires.

I put Dunlop Wintersport 3D on the OEM 18's - work great in the snow/slush/wet, but they are just average on the ice

What about this thread you setup before?

Basically just go onto Tire Rack and try a couple setups to see what you like. Dunlop and Bridgestone seem very popular.

My Dunlop winter M3s have been awesome this winter. No regrets.
