For future consideration, if she has a vase she really likes, try taking it to the local florist so flowers are delivered in something that looks great. (If she doesn't have a vase she really likes, vases can make great gifts too...)

I tend to just go to my local Kroger pick out some fresh flowers and use one of the plethora of vases I've gotten my lovely wife over the years. She appreciates them just as much as the first flowers I got her 17yrs ago. Roses last much less than other flowers. No need to drop $100 when $30 looks just as nice. I spend the rest on chocolates or some other gift. |

I used PlantShed in NYC and the fuckers showed up two hours after the delivery window asking me why the office was closed. FYI: do not ever use this service.

I thought I ordered lilies, they showed up as mini callas, on Friday, and are already wilting.
But, damn son, that ribeye was beautiful when I got it on a plate. The edges were all bubbly like a huge slice of bacon, the middle was warm and salty, and that squeeze of lime before the last flip made them excellent. I could have sworn I heard the click of the camera when I set the table, but nothing found to share. Then I freaking forgot the leftover bone in the fridge this morning, and I *KNOW* it won't survive the day with the boys in the house. |
