N55 CC-ID 309 Code

Anyone ever get this code?

I get it when temps are like near or below freezing and when it takes a few clicks for it to turn over (no Ethanol) and of course when I have ethanol, like this morning, I had E52 and it took actually a decent bit for it to start (40 degrees out). This goes away after I restart the car, but will stay on for a long time. HPFP looks fine when the car is warmed up

I also get it when I shift from gear to gear at redline, right at the shift the little * shows up on my cluster signalling some sort of warning, but this goes away typically in 30 seconds and if I am not quick enough to check Ill never see it.

I pull this code up by going into the 'check car' menu and it shows my car on a lift

My logs show my HPFP holds 2k pressure through and through at WOT
Would this be the LPFP?

The code is 'fuel pump failure mechanical'

Any insight?

Maybe high current draw from your upgraded LPFP?

Draw as in electrical current draw?

I got a new battery coded and installed a a little over a month ago if that means anything?

Yes, the ECU may be throwing a code because of the extra electrical draw. The times you are stating when it throws the code is when it would have the highest electrical draw.

Is there a way to 'fix' this?

Hope MHD finds the table and can change it. I don't know if a coder would be able to do anything with it like they do with batteries and light bulbs, etc. I just remember (I believe it was this) the testing for the fuel-it stuff and there was a code that popped up due to too much amperage draw.
