KDCAN, MHD, and ODB2 Issue
Hi all,
I currently have a 07 335i 6AT and I have bought 3 different KDCAN cables, OTG cables, and have had no luck with MHD working with my car. I have tried several ways of connecting the cables to my Samsung Galaxy s7 edge, and it still cannot detect the ECU. The KDCAN lights up orange when connected to my ODB2 port, but once I try to select an option in MHD it turns it off and cannot detect the ECU Any idea what's going on? The 3rd cables is working off another 07 335i and the same phone, thx. |

Just a thought but if you're not the original owner its possible you have a JB4 installed on your car and if it's not set to 0 you can't code the ecu.

What cable did you buy? From where? Post a pic with details.
I got one from Bimmer Software for $40, works great. I got MHD and use my Galaxy s5. I have a usb to micro adapter (2 actually) you can get on Amazon for $1.42 for 5 adapters! Also, I'm close to you (La Mirada 90638) so if you wanna try hooking mine up to check if it works, that's an option too. Let me know, Hoss
