Does it bother you how angel eyes/halos are more common on other cars?

You guys are both right actually. It was 2001 model year, start of production as of September 2000, that debuted the first Angel Eyes. The E39 with Angel Eyes is still so beautiful, to me, even today.

And, as for question by OP: no it does not bother me, because BMW still looks the best, and agree with others that the thing BMW do right is not turning off the lights when a turn signal is on. That has always bothered me when I see cars do that.

I didn't know that I was mad about this until I read this thread suggesting that I may be mad about this.

Now I'm also mad at every car that now has horizontal LEDs like the i8.

Everyone else has regular halogens like my 128 because I was too cheap to buy a bmw with halos..., who am I supposed to be mad at now? I want to be mad too!
