Diff, TC, axle, wheel bearing?

2008 E90 335xi 6AT

For about a month or two now, I've noticed that I get a very loud clunking that you can hear and feel. Has been getting more and more obvious.

It happens only when in reverse with the wheels turned either direction and moderate throttle applied, or when turning right from a stop. More so when the turn is on a decline or incline of moderate slope. Never happens when turning left. It also seems to slam into 2nd a but harder than usual sometimes, but not always after this happens. I can get it to occur much more frequently when shifting manually or in sport, but it happens regardless.

I thought it was CV's, but I replaced the rotors a month ago and the boots and joints looked good, no play in the shafts.

The noise seems to be coming from right under the center console, or to the rear, but the noise NEVER happens when accelerating straight, or at any speeds over 5-10 MPH max.

When it happens, it feels like a rear wheel is dragging or maybe slipping, but I haven't mounted a GoPro to the car's body to actually see if that's happening.

Anyone ever run across this? I can try to get video and audio of the noise\vibration as it happens if that would help.
