Let's rephrase

So I don't think I've seen a Sydney cruise since I've been a member here. Who would like to organize one through the royal national park? I don't want to organize but will gladly attend.

Is easy OP. Post a thread with the course, set a date and show up on the day. Easy

As socket said, just post up a thread!!!

Very surprised that the Sydney fellas haven't organised a good meet up and cruise (you guys certainly are on par in terms of numbers with the Vic boys), just need someone to lead the way!!!

Nasho is pretty ordinary IMO normally too much traffic and they've lowered the speed too much over the years for it to be enjoyable..

My 'mate' is a hwy patrol his full time job is to patrol this area. They've lowered the speeds there a lot also unfortunately over the years! It's still not a bad drive but cant really open it up...

I would suggest to meet at windsor, then drive to the grey gum international cafe on putty rd which is an hours drive (an OK drive but is also heavily policed)

https://www.google.com.au/maps/dir/T...7222!2d-33.615

Have a mid morning brekky coffee (its a big rest stop for bikes cars etc) then the next section of rd from the cafe to the hunter valley is a good stretch of rd with some wide open straights and tight twisties on mountain rds which are quite smooth.

https://www.google.com.au/maps/dir/T...!2d-32.7722018

This takes less than an hour. Then everyone can have a good lunch a few beers (the place is normall buzzing on a weekend with tourists buck shows hen shows etc with a band playing) then after lunch head back to Syderrs via M1

https://www.google.com.au/maps/dir/H...!2d-33.8688197

Just an idea but the few guys from sydney etc I've taken on this drive enjoyed it

In for this. Can do any Tuesday, or a Sunday if no one else can do Tuesday. But tuesday for no cops and little traffic

As for natio - I love it.

shouldn't be too hard to organise pick a date(or offer a few), lock in the route, change the title of this thread to an EOI and see how many people we get.

Haha I undestand where you're coming from but really you dont appreciate the engineering in our vehicles until you get them out on the open rd! It's also great fun using the torque of the N5X out on the open rd and doing some hooning!

Having said that I found a hell of a lot of limitations when I got my car out on the open rd and spent a monster upgrading the chassis/sussy/tyres/brakes etc!

Still its much better to do a drive day then hardpark somewhere and just sip on a latte then go home

Mine gets a good work out every day because my house is at the end of a 20km twisty rd. I've had two problems - cp and waterpump. That's it

I nominate Aaron to organise. Your idea, you take control. Consider it your way of contributing to the community

The guys in here who have mentioned the patrolling on the Natio are correct. Took the scenic route a few times in the last couple of months to visit my friend down in the Gong and there were always cops patrolling. I don't have a beast of a car of anything so doesn't apply to me, but for those that do it'd be definitely something to be wary of.
Although really, when is anybody not looking out for HWP.

btw. You wouldn't be the same Aaron from a looong while back with the white EK1... ?
