Angel eyes bulbs other than the Lux brand?

Good morning everyone,

I'm currently looking a set of bulbs for my 2010 pre lci e92, preferably would like to purchase these in Canada.

I did have my mind set on the lux H8 160 due to the bright white color. But since our dollar is terrible, these cost quite a bit.

Just curious if anyone went with a cheaper option and got something that was similar to the lux h8 160 and was better or just as good?

I saw some bulbs on kijiji for half the price, but couldn't find any reviews on them.

---> http://www.kijiji.ca/v-other-auto-pa...nt=app_android

If you can please let me know what route you went with, what brand/specs/price and possibly a photo, that would be extremely helpful!

Forgot to mention that I would prefer to purchase a set of bulbs in Canada to avoid any fees and what not.

Thanks!

I have a 08 pre-lci 328i with the non H8 bulbs (forgot the size) I bought the LUX ones and they are bright. I was thinking the same as you to get the cheaper one, but the angel eyes are a thing i dont want to keep on changing out if one starts to flicker or something, hence why i spent the cash on LUX.

Yup. Been there, done that. After countless eBay/Kijiji H8 LED bulbs over the years failing/flickering/not illuminating the optic tubes properly, I went with the LUX and wish I did it sooner. I've had a pair in both cars for over a year and counting.

Splurge for the LUX, it's 100% worth it in the long run.

You might be interested to know that they offer the H8 180 now which is an upgrade over the 160.

I went with Bimland Performance, a set of H8 108 leds for Angel eyes and a set of foglights, so they color match.

Bought mine directly from LUX in the states. He shipped them here to me. Or if you wanna save a bit, ship it to the US PO box depot then drive across to pick it up.

These dont look too bad...what brand did you get? LED's tend to flicker or fail usually around the 6 month-1yr mark, especially in the cold. Although, my led interior (got it from ebay) has been holding up fine. It can be a hit or miss
