Sounds like maybe a bit too much tire pressure. But 13k out of tires is horrible, lol.

Although it does depend on what type of driving you're doing.

Really ? My fronts are still in good shape (30k miles or so) - Rear are 4/32s I guess but my alignment was slightly off in the rear and I attribute it to that - still drove up the hill like a champ in blizzrards etc
Also, if the temp is > 45 degs they start wearing more than usual - here we've been under 30 most winters except this one..

Well, admittedly my poor wear experience on the Blizzaks is indubitably because of the driving environment. I have lived in Maryland, Oregon, and now California since I bought the car. And have also driven in winter in Idaho and Utah as well, as well as over the Siskiyou Pass between CA and OR. But, to be fair, I put them on when the temperature is going to be below 40 degrees consistently or when I will definitely going to be driving in the snow. But as a rough guess, the total number of miles out of the 13-14k on the tires that was over actual snow is probably under 500 miles. The last two months of February I went on roughly 1500 mile and 2500 mile road trips, that accounted for about 300 of those miles, but the vast majority of miles were in southern UT, Nevada, Death Valley, and SoCal. Not exactly the kind of driving those tires were intended for. In their defense, they were actually pretty good tires in the dry and warm.
