Close enough mate :

Unfortunately I just never jelled with the 335. I didn't like the turbo nature - I'm a screaming NA man - and the package just felt very very bland. As such I didn't have the heart to start modding it - it felt as if I was going to be flogging a dead horse. So I just kept it stock and made it nice and tidy before finally selling it on. As it happens, that was to someone who had specifically been searching for a Space Grey E91 335i... So the poor thing is finally being appreciated! As for scotch pads - you don't need to overthink it mate, you're only sanding off surface rust! But the green ones are usually the coarse grade, followed by brown (medium) and grey (fine). But plain old green ones are perfect for the job. Simply sand down evenly, as much as you can, to achieve a smooth finish for paint. Its all in the prep.

Just got myself an E92 M3 aswell coming from a 330i touring.
Both in Space Grey. V8 is just awesome. I have had some cars that I thought were Great. But in reality they were just Very Good. M3 makes you feel like you are 17 again. Unbelievable machines. Enjoy. |
