M3 Tenson strut swap question
Hello All
Can someone who has replaced the std tension strut and wishbones with the M3 items tell me something. Are the tension struts the same length? Obviously the wishbones are not to give increased camber but I always assumed the tension struts were the same. Ive suddenly realised its unlikely, can you help ? Many thanks |

Mine just arrived, hopefully I can get the replacement done next week.
Off the top of my head from what others say the wiggly one (M3) is shorter and the one that's only slightly curved (M3) is longer. Gives you like 0.5 more negative camber I think. |

Thanks for your reply.
The bottom wishbone is slightly longer to give more negative camber. What I had wrongly assumed is that the tension strut is standard length. When I thought about it I realised it cant be. It must also be longer to suit the longer wishbone. From that, I would think that all four components have to be fitted to match up. I wanted the increased rigidity of the M3 tension struts but without the extra camber but I now think I wont be able to do this. Thanks for trying to help. |

Thanks for the advice. Ive already changed the camber by pulling the camber pins so I didnt feel that I needed more.
The main issue is I have just changed the bottom wishbones for std items and didnt want to throw them away. I needed one in a hurry and didnt have time to research the M3 options. Bought the M3 tension struts the other day on an ecp offer before my brain kicked in. Doh ! Cheers folks |
