Simon maps the car then goes out for a test run ensuring all is well. I can vouch for him as he has done two cars for me. If for some reason the dealer was to "wipe" the map, he will reinstate it for free. He is not just "a man with a laptop" and has been mapping cars, especially BMW's, for years. Top bloke with a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Right guys, car booked in with Simon at E-Maps...he said he might have to remove the ECU?? What would this involve and is this necessary for my vehicle.
I have a 2013 13 plate E92 320d Thanks Last edited by Sarlech; 03-09-2017 at 03:36 AM.. |

Update -
Had the remap done from Simon @ Emaps, I'm very impressed by the service he provided and the difference it has made to the vehicle I would recommend Simon to anybody considering a remap |

Just going to slightly hijack the thread...
The way I see it is a DTUK is like a mini remap and then obviously getting a remap is the full thing. My question is, can you have both a DTUK and a remap or is it one or other? and if so which one would be best to get? |

Remap would replace a tuning box, as all it does is trick the ECU in to running outside of its parameters, where a remap can change those parameters among other things.

What kind of performance increase (in terms of 0-60) would you expect from remapping a 320d?
I know that's sort of like asking how long is a piece of string, but it would be good to get a rough idea. |
