Exhaust
What turbo back exhaust options are there with all the deletes and have mufflers? I don't want a loud car or one that drones. (been looking at P & L and no mufflers)
Finally ready to go from JBD to a tune. Thanks, |

This is the set up im running. Profi. I've been very happy with it. $1100 shipped with DP. Great bends, welds and mufflers. Just an option and it's for the US base D Last edited by JOHNNYBRAVO1; 03-18-2017 at 07:18 PM.. |

Just wanted to point this out as well with regards to grades of stainless steel being used in some of the exhaust kits out there; 304 vs 201 stainless.
Personally, I wouldn't use 201 if I lived in a cold climate that used lots of road salt half of the year. There are lots of corrosion tests you can see online comparing the corrosion resistance of the two grades. Something to keep in mind.

That being said, I don't know of any 335D exhausts that are 201 anymore. The new revised version is full 304ss ![]() |

About 1/2 of my system is 201 SS too (the circuit werks part). Very front is 316L where custom Y was made and back one 1/3 is also 316L. That is the stuff but it's expensive material and in my opinion overkill. Ripley's Muffler in north Houston likes to use it for the stainless jobs though. If you go to Ripley, you better arrange ahead of time for SS flanges as they don't have them and i got pinched for time and had to overnight the front 3" flange and the back (2) 2-1/2" ones. I only bought 2/3 of the CW kit and had custom build on back 1/3.
I can see the difference between the 201 and 316L clearly. No salt use on roads here of course (what is snow/ice in south Texas?). Despite this, I do see a little discoloring as i live in a marine environment (high high humidity). Just go with the Iaknown 2.0 and get the 304 SS version. |
