Snap-in adapter audio crackling
Last month I purchased a new MEDIA snap-in adapter for my vehicle. The adapter fits the car and my iPhone 5s just fine and all the features (apps, phone calls, etc.) are working OK. However, any time I play audio through the snap-in adapter, I hear crackling sounds along with the music, almost like radio static. This happens when I play music that is stored on the phone, or streaming over an in-car app like Amazon Music. If I then connect the phone to the center console USB port with a regular lightning cable, I don't hear any crackling - the same exact music sources and songs all play back just fine with absolutely none of the crackling artifacts.
Anybody experienced anything like that or have any idea what it might be?
