What am I doing wrong 😯
Hi guy's and gals just wanted some help and advice as I'm trying to sell my car for no other reason than I have to due to a very bad split with my ex that cost me a small fortune 😣
Now either I've priced my car completely wrongly or its a combination that nobody likes or its just quite, now I'm just wondering if anyone can give me some hints and tips on what I'm doing right or wrong please. I honestly don't want to sell the car as I've enjoyed every one of the 3 years I've owned it and I still come out in the morning and think yeah that's a good looking car but!! It seems by the lack of interest that I'm the only one who does 😕 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1362996 |

Parkers is saying it's worth £8,800 private sale in good condition. I always find their valuations are the starting price that you can expect to be haggled down a bit on.
Have you powder coated the wheels? Also is it on ebay & autotrader? They're the main places people look for cars now. |

Parkers is hit and miss but more often than not it's not accurate to current market. . . My car is closer to excellent condition rather than good if I'm being honest.
I have only got it on here, Gumtree and pistonheads I think I'll put it on ebay this week I was thinking about doing one of those raffles. . . . . What you think about that. . Good idea maybe? |

I always search eBay for similar items that have SOLD, not that are advertised, as that gives you a far more accurate idea of an items true value. I don't know it you can do a similar search on specific car sites.

Cheers guy's I looked at the lowest priced similar car on the autotrader and priced mine below that as I don't believe all those valuation books as they don't reflect current market value.

This. If I was going to drop that amount of cash I would insist on having CIC.

This obsession people have with idrive I honestly don't get it, When I got this 3 years ago I looked at one with and without and I can honestly say having owned a 330d with I soon got bored of it and hardly ever used it, don't get me wrong it's great to have but it's not a deal breaker if the car without is mint and the car with isn't if that makes sense.

When I had the car for sale in june last year I wasn't so keen to sell if I'm honest and I had it up for around 11.5k and I was offered 10800 but as I didn't really need/have to sell I turned it down lol cannot see how it's lost 2k in value in 8 months that's just ridiculous but it is what it is and it will sell for whatever somebody is willing to pay for it.

Diesels are getting bad press at the moment, more people have become aware of how badly they pollute & the associated increase in health issues & air pollution.
So maybes not the best time to be selling a 325d that's getting on for 7 years old with 92k with no I drive & expecting that kinda money. It is a nice looking car though & a great colour. Good luck selling it |

Wish I'd have put it on ebay sooner I've had a few offers already and not too far from what I want for it.
I can't disagree regarding the CIC if it was on a similarly priced car but there's none within £1000 of what mines bow up for with it and I personally wouldn't value it a 1k but that's just me I buy a car to enjoy it not play with the gadgets. |

The problem you're faced with is this is now a generation too old and most people are gravitating toward lease cars at that price. Even budget lease cars have a more modern interior than the E92, especially considering connectivity and screens have become standard.
It's an unbeatable car for pure drivers but then you're aiming for a target market which is hard to sell to My advice is do something similar to me, overprice it on ebay, write a kick ass advert and generate demand then go for whatever offer suits you. AT is crap these days IMHO |

Quite surprised as the car does look in good condition. As people have mentioned, I think lack of CIC is against you.
Also a quick look on auto trader shows a few cars that are similar to yours but with better spec going for the same price, http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...had=New&page=1 http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...had=New&page=1 The first example is also a 2011 and both are from traders. |

Small point of interest - your Ebay ad says 'rare rear seat folding option'. Not so rare in a E92 - they all have it.
Also what's the story with the 300bhp in the title (& 295bhp in the item details)? Accurate? This would put me off if I were looking for a 325d as I'd think 'ragged'. The CIC thing wouldn't bother me as for pure sat nav people use mobile nav nowadays anyhow. |

Not everybody gets a car remapped to rag it and being as I'm 38 with 2 children if I did have any spare time which I don't lol I certainly wouldn't be out ragging a diesel bmw.
The car was only remapped because it is to all intensive purposes 100% a 330d bar a lower bhp map from factory so all I did was release some of the potential and it just makes the car a nicer drive and given I get 37mpg round town either I'm driving it like a grandad or I've got the most economical ragged bmw ever lol I thought the folding seats where an option if I'm wrong then I will hold my hands up. |
