Bricked MOSTGW module
So...I'm a bit dumb and foolishly charged on and updated some modules on the MOST ring using a K/D-CAN cable. I successfully updated MASK/CCC module, but MOSTGW module keeps failing at 28% (cannot communicate with ECU error).
After this failed flash, I also seem to lose (they disappear from INPA UIF) the following modules: - TEL/MULF (Bluetooth) - AMP (Logic7) - RADIO (Radio) - MASK/CCC (What's this?) Is there any way to recover this? I presume the modules are still working, but since the firmware flash didn't finish on the MOSTGW module it doesn't boot. I presume one of the following options can fix this: - Use ICOM cable. These are quite expensive and require ISTA-P, no? - Can a dealer or indy fix this by flashing (while also updating the modules)? - Buy a new head unit and retrofit that? What do you guys think? |

Buy an iCom clone and you can update anything. The flash process you were attempting wanted to switch to most bus for some of the flash hence your failed flash. ICom clones are like $500 but an Indy can update you for cheaper. ICom is only necessary for flashing really and is overkill for parameter coding. Coding parameters on any ecu is possible with KD-can. So ICom is only really useful for flashing. I've used mine maybe 4 times after updating my car. So it's kind of a waste of money after you use it.
