So I'm about to need new pads and rotors on my '11 E90 335xi

Already got a great deal on Hawk HPS 5.0 pads now I need to decide on a rotor.

Narrowed it down to 3 options

Cheapest:
Stoptech Slotted cryo treated rotors
I've used solid cryo treated rotors in the past and was happy with the durability and resistance to warpage.

Middle of the road
The font 2 piece rotors from the Z4 35is
Pros OEM BMW and 2 lb weight savings
Cons: not cryo treated

Most expensive
ECS 2 piece drilled and slotted
Pros Weight savings, looks
Cons Expensive, not sure about durability and warpage resistance.

So My question is what should I go with and does anyone have any experience with either the ECS or Z4 rotors

For rotors of this size warpage is pretty much impossible cryo treated or not

Hat is aluminum so it won't rust but they are pricey. Same as above on warpage

Just a cosmetic upgrade.

I have experience with Z4 and other OEM 2-piece rotors from E82, E60 and F30. Nothing special in performance department. ATE, Meyle and Zimmerman will yield the same results. I prefer Zimmerman.

I have the Z4 rotors. Partly aluminum and no rust in 3 years' use. So, that's nice. They don't seem to perform any differently that my stock 335xi rotors did - which is fine... Weight savings is minimal and can be had by tire and wheel choice for less..

I have the ECS tuning 2 piece rotors, I have only had them for 1 month and so far so good. They definitely feel better than stock rotors. So for they have held up good, too soon to say if they will hold up in the long run.

I selected the Textar ceramics. They dust substantially less than stock and the brakes are just fine for the street. I have no sense of how they'd hold up for a track session, but if they're like any stock equivalent I've used, my guess is they'd be chunking and fading by afternoon- of course the latter may be more about condition of fluid. Bottom line, these aren't designed for track work, but mine isn't a track car.
