Angry Odd door open errors (both doors) with doors shut

Hey guys, I figured I'd cross post this on coding as this is definitely an electrical issue and not related to the door sensors in my mind:

Hi folks,

I've done some reading, and this problem is usually related to certain aftermarket LED angel eyes, however, I have stock headlamps.

Car: 2011 335i e92 lci coupe

Issue: As soon as key fob is used around car, say to unlock to get in, both doors (one or the other, but one time it was both at once) will set off a door open warning that immediately goes away (the windows also do that down/up movement as quick as possible.)

This is obviously super annoying, as it can happen anywhere from over once a minute to once every 1-30 minutes.

The strange thing is that it's happening to both doors, so I don't think it has to do with moisture getting into the sensors or anything like that.

I'm going to check for pending or history codes tomorrow morning, but wanted to see if anyone's heard of this. Again, I've searched around and my issue seems unique because I do not have AE headlights, and it's happening to both doors completely randomly.

Also to note, the interior light doesn't come on when these errors happen, and they happen for under 1 second -- as in the tone goes off, shows you which door it was, and windows do the up/down clearance all in under 1 second or so.

At the least, I may just read up on how to code out the tone. I can deal with the window movements for now.

Control Module voltage showing a solid 14.1 or so.

No pending or history errors, although they were cleared 11 start ups ago. Any other ideas? I'm thinking of just coding out the tone for now, need to figure out how to do that.

e: Also appears the E92 335i is NOT in the Service Bulletin for FRM extended warranty... even though the xDrive edition is.. blah.

I'd check with the dealer about extended warranty. Most FRM3 cars are covered. We replace them all the time under the extended warranty.

Update for the google index record:

This was 100% due to the footwell module (FRM).

Called my local dealership and told them of my issue. Brought her in today and the tech notes:

"Verified that windows would move on their own (coupe door clearance), and door open notifications would happen with doors closed, both doors (while in drive). Performed scan and found FRM fault 9CBC for FRM SHORT CIRCUIT OF FRONT DOOR CONTACTS. FOUND FRM TO BE THE CAUSE. FRM HAS WARRANTY (8Y/125,000) REPLACED FRM, CODED AND PROGRAMMED. ALL FUNCTIONS NORMAL NOW."

HUGE shoutout to Bimmergeeks, he pretty much told me through PM and this thread that it's for sure the FRM. I went into the dealership and specifically said that I believe it's the FRM and had them check the extended warranty beforehand.

I am sure the dealership (Niello BMW, Sacramento, CA) was using Rheingold ISTA/D to find the aforementioned fault code (9CBC).

Cheers!
