Problems after Combox Media Retrofit E92 looks like Coding Issue
Hello Together,
i'm new here in the Forum, it seems to me that much People with huge knowledge are here, I hope you can help me. i've installed a Combox Media in my BMW E91. Now the CIC Mid sometimes Recognize the Combox directly sometimes after some time. It lost sometimes the Configuration (Bluetooth Activation, Peered Phone or Last Played USB Song), maybe Someone have an Idear why? Here is more detailed what I've done so far : The Car didn't have had a TCU/Mulf, so I've extended the MOST Ring behind the CIC to the Combox. I've got the Power lines from the CIC (CIC Pin 15(+) -> CBX Pin1, CIC Pin 12 (GND) -> CBX Pin 14). From the CAS Module Pin 37 -> CBX Pin 15 (TEL_WAKE). From the Mic Pin1 -> CBX Pin 25, Pin2 -> CBX Pin12, Pin3 -> CBX Pin 11. Then also BT Areal and USB to the Black Port. Coded to the FA #0911 to Change the Production date original #1207, Added : $644 Bluetooth hands Free $6VA CIC-Zusteuerung $6VC Steuerung Combox $6FL US/AUDIO Interface coded CAS and NFRM with the FA, and Code the CIC and the Media. Versions are CIC : C1A COMBOX : C05 If the CIC show's that the Combox is connected all working like a charm BT, USB Covers Hands Free. Then if the Car switched off for a longer time the Combox took time to show up in CIC up to 10-20 mins and had complete or partially lost the settings for BT and/or the last played track from the USB. Do somebody have an Idear why? Where does the Combox stores the Settings? Maybe due to Power lost? As i read it right in the Wiring Diagrams in ISTA/D the Combox will be Powered by 30g also as the CIC, so the 30g will be switched off if the Car went to sleep mode. Do I have to connect the Combox to a different power source? If yes where can i get the Power source I need. And last I'm wondering why the Combox show's me a SW-Nr OSV from 255.255.255 (see attachments) Attached I've put Software Levels and Wiring Diagrams. Hope Someone could help me, maybe I've done some coding wrong? If you need more Informations I will try to provide you. Also after the Coding I've got strange behaviour from the NFRM Module, it shows errors with the Door Contacts after clearing the errors they got back. How can I correct this? Before coding accidently the NFM Module (instead of FA Write) all working well. Thx Sascha |

It sounds like you may have some mutually exclusive entries in your VO, that is causing the Combox not to be recognized when the vehicle is powered on.
You should post your entire VO so people can have a look. |

Hello opjose,
thx for the Reply. I've done some new Coding in my Car due to the NFRM issues. They are now fixed after recode the NFRM with my Original VO. So the Combox Media seems now to Connect more often and I will be able to access the USB Drive and use the Phone but the car didn't remember the Paired Phone after a while without car powered on. I must pair the Phone every time new. Is it possible that i must code something in the CIC or Media by MAN file? I've attached the TRC Files from CIC and Media and Post my VO, hopefully someone can give me a Direction where to search the Problem. The media shows Error : Software Reset see Attached Picture. my actual VO: #0911 $1CA $1CB $1CC $1CD $230 $240 $249 $320 $321 $386 $423 $428 $431 $494 $4AE $4CG $507 $520 $521 $534 $540 $548 $606 $620 $644 $698 $6FL $6VC $7RS $801 $850 $851 $863 $879 $941 %0354 &EBAT *UX11 -A090 Do I code something wrong?
