Taking off adjustable perches?
Hey guys. So I have a 2006 e90 330i. I'm maxed out all around and am pretty happy with the front fitment but I'd like to go lower in the rear. I've heard from some of my import friends that you can take off the perches that allow the coilovers to be adjustable to lower the car. Would that work? I have Megan Racing EZ Streets.
Here are some pics to help |

Your rear spring will be sat on an adjuster, you can remove this to gain another inch or so drop, but obviously you have no adjustment over this. You'll need to check your spring is seating correctly in the arm and that ideally it's still compressed under full droop so it doesn't fall out.

It works, I've done this on my other car with BC's. The springs are flat on that side so you don't have to worry much about clocking them. You do need to make sure that your shocks are adjusted to compensate for the lower height and preload. You need your springs to be under preload at all times (lots of people don't adjust the shocks when they lower the rear). If not, you could top out the shock and the springs could become misaligned or pop out.
