Good news...bad news!
Hi everyone
Sorry i'm not a big contributor to the site so far but i promise to try harder when i am actually a BMW driver! Which leads to my good news is that i got a date for delivery of my 320d edition m-sport, but the bad news its not until April the 12th! I am very jealous of all the people who have posted with their 1st of March delivery dates, i have like another 6 weeks to wait after that almost! By the way could someone clarify for me something, is the E90 the saloon, the E91 the estate and the E92 the coupe perhaps? Its gets a little confusing when when you always use these codes, sorry if am sounding stupid asking this. I know an ex. of mine had an E46 M3, and despite being told about it a lot! i still dont know if the E46 was just the coupe or if their was an E44/45 etc... Lisa. |

Hi Lisa,
yes what you think about the E9X codes is correct! E46 was for all of that shapes variants! Carlos

The wait is a killer, but it makes delivery day all that more special.
As the others have said, you've got the codes spot on. Basically from (I think) the current generation 5 series BMW started to differentiate the different models within each series. Prior to this there was one catch all code for the series. Hence the 3series has been E21 E30 E36 E46 and only now E90/1/2/3 to differentiate the saloon, touring, coupe and convertible respectively.
