Speaker problem on rear deck
Hi there,
As of recently I have noticed there is a shaking noise and not a proper sound coming from the rear left speaker on the rear deck so I popped off the cover and took a look It seems that whenever I push down the cone slightly or hold the wire from two opposite ends (visible in the pic) - the shaking noise stops and sound comes out of the speaker properly. I am hoping that this could either be repaired easily or covered by hertz warranty -what do you guys think? Images to pics below - when you open the links right click on the image and open image in new tab as the google drive image viewer is stupid Thanks! https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9n...9LWkNmZXM/view https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9n...p1SFIxVmM/view Last edited by avi312singh; 05-09-2017 at 07:06 PM.. |

Your picture shows that the speaker is mounted with only 2 of the 4 holes used.
This is likely the source of the problem - the speaker can vibrate because it's not properly mounted. When you touch the speaker, then you are anchoring the other side, and it doesn't vibrate. Get a set of mounting rings (adapter for 4-hole to 3-hole) and mount them properly. |
