Aux/USB not working. Replaced unit still no go.

Hey guys. I just picked up a e82 135 with the business professional radio. I can't figure out what's going on with the six and looking for some help. I replaced the fuse and now cigarette littler is working. Then still wasn't working so went to bmw and got a new aux/USB unit and still nothing. Did a full scan of the car and didn't get any codes in modules. I pulled the back of the console apart and don't see anything apart so the opened the trunk and got to the Module under the amp that controls it. All way plugged it but disconnected everything and reconnected everything and still nothing. Not sure what my next step should be. When I go to aux on the radio I can hear the speaker static if I turn it all the way up but the USB is not getting any power. Help please. Thanks.

You are going to have to get more specific.
First you need to list the installed options on your car .
You can find out what they are by running one of the Vin checkers
on your cars VIN number (free checkers found on line).
In most but not all cases the aux comes from the TCU/mulf/combox.
USB comes from these modules as well as aux in cars up to 2010 and
earlier. You cannot just plug one of these in and have it work without
programming.
Does the radio and cd work? Do you have sound of any kind?

When you said you got one from BMW do you mean they installed it
and got it working?
Which sound system do you have it has nothing to do with the Head Unit.
whats the six one more than the five?
Did you use a BMW specific scanner?

Thanks for the reply and information. My car has the usb and aux from the factory. All I did is get a new usb/aux connector unit. The radio works fine and I haven't tried the cd part. When I scroll over to aux on the radio and click it nothing happens and when I turn up the volume on both the radio and for the aux all it does is get a louder static noise. I know the usb part isn't getting power cause when I plug my tune2air in nothing lights up but when I plug it in my other 335 the tune2air lights up. Like I said I have replaced the cig fuse and they are all working now.

I have the same problem. I have aux and USB from the factory but only have the aux option in my radio, which doesn't work.

I did this once and they had me check the light coming out of the unit's fiber connection. It was fine. Aux still doesn't work.

I haven't replaced my OEM aux box (the one that usually falls down the middle compartment), but I checked the cables connected to it and seem fine. Fuse seems to be ok. I don't want to replace the Aux box itself (comes with the USB as well which doesn't work, cig lighter works just fine) if that's not the problem. I'm doing a road trip to Dallas in June so I'd like to get this fixed ASAP
